10 February 2010
A very good sleep followed a few beers and a good meal at a restaurant near uShaka. The next morning Wednesday 10th February was a beautiful day. First let me show you the Marine Point apartment. The apartment at
Marine Point Waterfront was the only place on the whole trip,
Cape Town - Johannesburg - Durban - Drakensberg - Golden Gate - Johannesburg - Cape Town, that had been booked ahead. The decision was to spend two nights in
Durban, and for me anyway, to get some "down time" with the bike parked in the basement car park for a whole day!
Marine Point.
Here is the bedroom that I had ....
A walk into the city was the democratic decision. This is Durban City Hall.
It was designed by Herbert Baker ...... and is exactly the same as Belfast City Hall.
The
Flea Market just off Smith Street.
The Old Law Courts.
View from Smith Street.
Smith Street.
Enjoying lunch at Wilson's Wharf.
Wilson's Wharf.
Back at Marine Point, before a late afternoon beach walk. We didn't ride the bikes at all today!
The walk from The Point towards South Beach.
The view back towards The Bluff.
Approaching South Beach.
The old Hotel Edward has a new name .....
.... but the Balmoral is much the same as ever. We had a sundowner on the veranda here and ...
..... watched the world go by.
Later, after a whiskey and water ......
...... we got a taxi back to the Balmoral for dinner.

Hey there just wanted to give you a quick heads up. The words in your article seem to be running off the screen
in Internet explorer. I'm not sure if this is a formatting issue
or something to do with browser compatibility but I figured I'd post to
let you know. The style and design look great though!
Hope you get the problem fixed soon. Many thanks

Delila - Thank you for your comment. I have checked out the article on not only my MacBook but also on a PC and the words, formatting and article are just fine. I have never had a report of words running off the screen. But thank you for reading. Hope that you find the blog amusing.
